This past week has been an overwhelming one. From being bombed with questions, seeing misinformation, or being overwhelmed by information on your insta feeds. It has been unfortunate to see how many people you know are speaking up against Israel. After a while, it just gets tiring.

Once you’ve reached the point of tire, you must allow yourself to take a break. Spend a day off of social media, or if you allow yourself on it, make it fun again. Skip the stories with pro-Palestine slides, just watch fun videos, or even spend some time finding new accounts to enjoy.

Take that well-deserved break, it can be hard to do, but you will thank yourself for it later. This is the time to not just be an advocate but make sure you’re taking care of yourself. In the end, that’s what’s most important.

Check-in on your friends, but make sure to leave some time to check in with yourself. You can’t do anyone any good if you aren’t mentally capable of helping. Keep yourself in a good frame of mind, and remember everything will be okay!

Raising awareness and making sure people are educated are both very important deeds. But they will be moot if we don’t learn to take care of ourselves. As a community and as an individual.

To get everyone through this tough time I’ve included some links to resources below. I’ve also included apps or other resources that can be used daily if necessary. Please remember to take care of yourself!
